Synopsis
Shoebox Zoo is a 26-part children’s drama series that fuses live action and computer animation to take us on a magical adventure.
After her mother died, Marnie McBride was moved from the only home she’d ever known - Denver, Colorado – to Edinburgh, Scotland. On her 11th birthday, she finds four strange, Celtic figures in a dusty shoebox who’ll change her life forever - a silver eagle with a wooden wing, a grizzly bear made of stone, a snake cast in gold, and a wolf carved in wood.
These are the Shoebox Zoo, and to Marnie’s amazement and delight, they will come magically to life before her very eyes. They’ll become Marnie’s friends, confidantes and helpers. Their Quest - soon to be her Quest too - is to find the lost Book of Magic and return it within the year or remain silent, lifeless carvings forever.
